This garden was designed for a family who wanted to use the garden for entertaining and children’s play but also wanted to attract wildlife.

Based in a rural setting the garden contained mature trees that created a glade effect. My solution was  to keep the main part of the garden for children’s play as this could be redesigned later. A large patio at the back of the house allowed for entertaining. The rest of the garden was compartmentalised  with areas containing a pond,  woodland garden  with log piles and an area for nectar plants. A compost area was screened off whilst raised beds were created for growing fruit and vegetables.

“The garden is fantastic, we entertain as much as we can in the summer, the kids have plenty of room and love exploring. Best of all the garden is alive with wildlife which we can watch from the house and garden” Gillian
