I’m a Chartered Landscape Architect and full member of the Society of Garden Designers.
I studied at Writtle College and hold a first class BSc (Hons) in Landscape Design,
a Diploma in Landscape Architecture and an MA in Garden Design both with distinction
I have lectured on Landscape design at Undergraduate and Post Graduate level for
over a decade
I started working as a spatial designer before taking a job as senior landscape designer
for an Essex based property development company managing landscape schemes for residential
, commercial and public landscapes across the UK.
I have run my own practice since 2002 and have worked on a variety of projects from
private gardens and show gardens to commercial developments, public parks and school
I offer design, consultancy and freelance services
I am a member of the Natural England’s Gardening for Wildlife forum which promotes
the benefits to both people and biodiversity of gardening with wildlife in mind.
I have carried out research projects for organizations such as CADE including ecological
approaches to planting, the therapeutic and healing benefits of landscapes, the design
of contemplative places, and the re-generation of post industrial landscapes.
